Collins Omondi
I'm a software engineer based in Kisumu, Kenya, with 5+ years building web and mobile software. I design, build, and deploy platforms — end to end, on my own — under the name ComonHQ.
My ComonHQ clients are mostly organizations without an in-house engineering team: a church network, a youth movement, education nonprofits in Kenya and Ghana, and a couple of startups in the US. I also run a Discord — 170+ people — for other engineers to hang out in.
Right now I split my time between ComonHQ client work and a data analyst role at Podii Consultants. If you email me, I'm probably answering it between the two.

How I work
I don't do long proposals or discovery decks. If a project makes sense, I'd rather start building and show you something real within the first week or two. Slow feedback loops are how good projects turn into bad ones.
I also won't take on something I don't think I can do well. If it's outside what I actually do, I'll say so upfront rather than take the project anyway.
I like this kind of client — organizations doing something real without the budget or the pull to hire an in-house team. It's rarely the most exciting-sounding tech, but it matters to the people using it.
